We take for granted what Walter fought so hard to obtain: health care programs, life insurance, pension plans, profit sharing, tuition reimbursement programs, severance pay, bereavement pay, holiday pay, etc. A bronze memorial plaque displayed at Black Lake in Walter Reuther?s memory displays his creed: ?There is no greater calling than to serve your brother. There is no greater satisfaction than to have done it well.? (Dickmeyer, 2004, p.353)
